Jayde on wheels, not quite zoom, zooming...yet

AND...
We took Blake to the Home Depot to buildSam is so brave to hold it while Blake hammers in the nail
Sticker time, and now we have a....

pro at making calendars, pretty good, young man!

Here he is with his certificate and apron.

SOMETHING ELSE...

I kept Jayde overnight a couple weeks ago because they were calling for snow and I wanted to play with her and didn't want to drive to get her either. Our Little Bengal....

and SNOW we GOT!!! I got a work out getting her dressed and she got a work out shoveling!

Then Cori was out for a walk and here they are, they just love each other so much:-)
Jennifer, Jayde's mom, used to babysit Cori and now Cori babysits Jayde, it's the circle of babysitters:-) Hmmmm, will Jayde babysit Cori's children one day?

and after her I mean our work was done, we...

took a little sled ride:-)

Kid Chatter

As I was driving Blake to my house for some hang out time after school yesterday we had a chat:

B: Grandma, can I ride my car in the rain?
M: No, because I don't have a raincoat for you here.
B: I don't care, that's alright if I get my jacket wet.
M: I mind, because then you'll be cold and besides I have something else planned.
B: What is it gramma?
M: I was thinking you can help me put our CHRISTmas tree up!
B: You have it already?!! (excited)
M: Yes, it's artificial (not knowing if he knew the word artificial, I said) yano it's not real
B: You mean it's pretend?
M: (sigh)No, not pretend, you can REALLY see it, it's just called artificial:-)

Kids say the cutes things.

He sorted out the branches pretty well, but I temporary forgot I had trouble packing them ALL back in the tree box and we were short the stand screws, so we had to stop and I gave him my miniature tree to see what he could do with it. He did this all by himself.

Crazy Grandma

I've had Blake for the last going on 3 weeks every morning and to mix things up this is what we did yesterday morning.

Monkey see....
Monkey do:-)
Then we had hot chocolate after "cutting down a tree" as Blake called it. But in reality I just trimed up some branches that were hanging out over the road.
Oh, and today he asked if we could do that again with the "shaving cream"! I told him we don't eat shaving cream, it's called cool whip and to NEVER eat shaving cream.

THIS Frog Likes Rain and So Do Flowers

My friend had a flower pot like this on her blog and I mentioned it to my daughter so she/they made me one for my birthday, I just LOVE it. So far the paint is staying on.

I looked out and noticed Blake found a bucket to gather up water and he watered everything. I used to do the same thing when I was a kid and it brought back memories.

I've said it once, twice and I'll say it again, this car gets used everyday he comes to my house, not even the rain can keep him away, nor snow either.

What's On My SD Card?

Here is more of what we've been up to lately, Blake's soccer games are finally finished. In case you don't know who I'm talking about...Blake is our almost 5 year old grandson who does not live with us, we just love him a whole lot and talk about him tons on here. Getting ready for a kick

I love this pose, he is so ready for that ball!

Here he is playing goalie position

And he kicks the ball

He refuses to let them score!

A trophy and a medal Way To Go, another soccer season comes to a close.

Just look how proud he is, he amazes me.

An Afternoon At The Park

Jayde all ready to slide down to gramma

We went to the park one afternoon, it was so lovely and the kids had a great time. Can you guess what day it was?

They have this really BIG swing there, I think it's great because even children with challenges can enjoy swinging safely.

And of course Blake, he enjoys the bouncy animals still, amongst other things.

Run Jump Play

Fake eyes...it was either red or black so I chose black!

Joel, my just turned 5 year old nephew (not blood, but we still I consider him our nephew) had been asking me to take he and Blake to this amazing fun inflatable play place. It's been several months since I took them and he's been wanting to go again.

Finally, after Blake's cold was gone, our vacation to California and Joel's annual ski trip to Utah we were able to go. Both boys loved it and *I* had just came down with some awful bug but I went to the doc the day before and was told "I was no more infectious than some of the people in Kroger" and given some potent Amoxicillin so I wasn't going to make these 2 guys wait any longer even if I did feel awful.

They had a great time and I was so glad they were able to manage all the obstacles of climbing and sliding with out me, last time Blake needed a bit of help climbing up the big slide and Joel was a little reluctant sliding down it by himself the first few times but this time was different....NO HELP NEEDED. Joel's hair was so funny you can see it best by clicking on the top picture.

After that we went to a McDonalds and the boys were so thrilled that we were going to one with a play area but unfortunatley there were absolutely no parking spots we had to settle on a "boring" one. Through out the day, Joel and I traveled 80 miles together, as we had more errands to tackle, fortunately he didn't catch my bug. Blake however might have, because he ended up with a fever 2 days later of 103.4

You can barely tell but Joel is all smiles and lovin it!

Blake gets a push in "the bathtub swing"

Joel kept asking for me to take his picture, he is definitely a cutie

Blake gives a wave as he comes in for a landing!
This was another slide they found it to be boring after long it was a shorter ride

TWINS?

Alright, now that I have your attention Their not really twins but here are Blake and Jayde in matching t-shirts from our San Diego Zoo trip.

It was funny cause when we were giving Blake his shirt I first pulled out the small one and showed him what we brought him back from California, he was all but happy, saying it is too small and won't fit him. Then when he wasn't looking I switched out the smaller one and asked him to just let me put it up to his chest and see if it is too small. He was baffled how that could happen!! It was kinda funny the look on his face.

Who Knew 75¢ is a TON of FUN!!!

We went to see Santa last week at the mall and after lunch Blake wanted to ride this car. It was the cheapest purchase with the most excitement of the day. Jayde was giggling and laughing too.
